Ever since it was first announced, Rock On 2, the sequel to the cult-classic Rock On!!, has been eagerly awaited by the audience.
Continuing from where the first film ended – Magik performed for the last time, 8 years ago – the sequel brings back Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli and has Shraddha Kapoor and Shashank Arora as the new additions.
This time, the film is set in North-East India and shows the lead characters battling their inner turmoil, finding solace through music.
The teaser of the film was launched a while back, giving us a peek into what we can expect from the film. And frankly, it just didn’t live up to the expectations!
While Shraddha looked like a complete misfit, the original band mates also lacked any chemistry.
Now, the film’s official trailer is out and we’re still not convinced. Rock On!! still remains a film we’d happily watch over and over again. As for Rock On 2, we’re having mixed feelings.
