Veteran actress Farida Jalal who became the victim of death hoax on Sunday, for the first time ever took to twitter to put the rumours to rest.
She tweeted:
Even though the actress initially laughed at the news, was later annoyed by the incessant phone calls and messages she was subjected to inquiring about the same.
Social Media was flooded with condolence messages after the fake news went viral.
Best-known for her roles in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, the 67-year old actress will now be seen portraying a Kashmiri woman in an upcoming film Sargoshiyan.
