India has come a long way since 1947. Yes, we’ve earned our constitutional right to equality & freedom, but here’s a question we don’t ask ourselves a lot – are we truly free?
This thought-provoking video by Gadre Premium Seafood shows that we have only traded one master for another. The technology which was supposed to make our lives easier has now taken a hold of it. Our digital lives have become more important than the warm relationship with our loved ones, such is life. This makes me wonder if we are any better free than we were oppressed. From defeating the oppressor to being shackled at will; is this the “freedom” our revolutionaries had died fighting for?
This Independence Day, let’s evaluate what freedom really means to us all. Let’s pledge to get rid of our ‘Mobile Pe Dependence’ and #TasteTheFreedom that this day brings.
