Tom Alter Passes Away At 67 After Losing Battle To Cancer

Veteran actor and Padma Shri Tom Alter lost his battle to cancer and breathed his last in Mumbai on Friday night.

The actor was battling stage four skin cancer. 

A statement released by his family said, “It is with sadness we announce the death of Tom Alter, actor, writer, director, Padma Shri, and our dear husband and father. Tom passed away Friday night at home with his family and close family members in attendance.”

Alter was popularly known for his work in television series like Hatim, Zabaan Sambhalke and movies like Veer-Zara and Shatranj ke Khilaadi

He is survived by his wife Carol, and two kids.
