Sridevi Kapoor really turned heads with her comeback in Gauri Shinde’s English Vinglish. And now with Ravi Udyawar’s Mom, the actor has taken her time to follow up on her stellar comeback. The teaser looked really intriguing, especially with Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s fake teeth and strange hair-cut. And with the release of the trailer we’re given a proper introduction to the character, with Nawazuddin using his raspy voice to perfection.
The film looks like a gripping thriller as a mother sets out to avenge the world, and the high-point of the trailer is definitely Akshaye Khanna playing the devious dude from the many Abbas-Mustan movies with a wig on. Thankfully the wig is off here, and looks like the actor will finally make his presence felt after the disappointment that was Dishoom.
AR Rahman has scored the music for the film, while director Ravi Udyawar is making his debut. The trailer for the movie is here:
