The 2019 IIFA Awards were announced recently, and among the winners was Deepika Padukone.
She won ‘The Special 20 Award’–introduced in celebration of 20 years of IIFA–for her role in Chennai Express (2013). Not Piku, not Padmaavat, but Chennai Express.
And while we get the movie was a Box Office Success, it garnered little critical acclaim. It let many to wonder if Bollywood was ‘smoking something’ we don’t know of.
