The trailer of Udta Punjab starring Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan & Diljit Dosanjh is out. The film deals with the rampant drug problem in Punjab that has been on the rise in the past few years.
Shahid plays and looks every bit of the Punjabi rockstar, Tommy Singh, that he plays, and Alia is acing the accent as a Bihari girl. Kareena plays a doctor in the film and Diljit, who is already a huge superstar of the Punjabi film industry, will make his Bollywood debut with this film as a police officer.

With the release of films like Airlift, Neerja, Kapoor & Sons, Fan, and now Udta Punjab, things are definitely looking up for Bollywood this year.
Udta Punjab is being directed by Abhishek Chaubey, who has earlier directed Ishqiya and Dedh Ishqiya.
