The trailer for Sunny Singh and Maanvi Gagroo starrer Ujda Chaman released today, and it deals with the subject of premature balding in men.
Sunny Singh stars as a 30-year-old bachelor, whose parents are worried about his wedding, because he has premature baldness.
Maanvi Gagroo stars as one of his love interests, who he ultimately ends with.
The movie also stars Saurabh Shukla, Grusha Kapoor, and Atul Kumar.
While the trailer definitely showcases a few regressive scenarios (like admonishing the house help for her clothes, rather than the men for their gaze), the overall premise of the movie seems promising enough.
Because it’s very rare the movie makes take into account male insecurities and treat that as a central subject for a film, while also highlighting society’s myopic view of them.
