Vivek Oberoi Roped In To Play Lalit Modi In A Web Series Called ‘Power Play’

Vivek Oberoi will next be seen in a 12-part web series titled Power Play. It is based on popular cricket  tournament Indian Premier League (IPL) founded by Cricket administrator Lalit Modi in 2007. 

PTI reported Vivek’s role to be inspired by Lalit Modi and the web series will surround the controversies and scandals that emerged in the league.Former Chairman is now in London after being sacked in 2010 for alleged fraud and money laundering.

Vivek confirmed the news to IANS“We are shooting currently for a very exciting project produced by Excel Entertainment. It is called ‘Powerplay’ and is based on IPL. The story takes its inspiration from IPL and will talk about the behind-the-scenes in terms of scandals, rackets and many things.”

Power Play headed by Bangistaan director, is likely to go on air by the end of the year also starring Angad Bedi, Gulshan Devaiah. The web series is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment.
