A little over a year ago, Seema Pahwa was part of Rajeev Masand’s The Breakouts Roundtable for 2018 and had talked about being typecast and the need for greater content-driven cinema.
In fact, she even talked about a story that she has written and is hoping to see come to life. And now it has, in the form of her directorial debut, Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi.
The movie brings together a dream cast, that includes actors like Konkona Sen Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Vinay Pathak, Supriya Pathak, Manoj Pahwa, and Naseeruddin Shah.
The film, that will have its world premiere at the 21st Mumbai Film Festival, seems to revolve around the Bhargava family, who ‘come together for a funeral but stay back for each other’. Though not much else is known about the film, the cast and the premise have us rooting for this quirky family drama.
