Toblerone Just Changed Its Iconic Triangle Shape & The Internet Is Not Taking It Too Well

There’s something about triangle shaped food that makes it so satisfying to eat, be it the desi modak, gujiya or chocolates like Toblerone. Everyone loved munching on this but the latest shape of the chocolate bars has got everyone miffed. In a bit to curb the rise in the cost of ingredients, Mondelez International has increased the gap between the peaks and this is what it looks like now!

Looks like the only people happy with this move would be Lays (apart from the competitors of Toblerone).

According to a report in Telegraph, this is what the company had to say.

We had to make a decision between changing the shape of the bar, and raising the price. We chose to change the shape to keep the product affordable for our customers, and it enables us to keep offering a great value product. it had to make a decision between changing the look of the bars or raising their price.

Thankfully, the change is effected only in the UK (not Uttarakhand) as of now.
