A recent study revealed that a bad boss is as injurious to their employees’ health as passive smoking. Further, the longer you stick around at the job with a horrible boss, the worse it is for your mental and physical health.

Another study conducted by Harvard Business School and Stanford University concluded that work stress has similar negative effects on one’s body as regular passive smoking.

One of the main causes of work stress is the fear of losing a job in an already deteriorating economy. And a bad boss who threatens your job, your position, your time, and more on a daily basis is obviously no relief for the massive stress you feel every day.

While the simplest solution to improving your health is disconnecting yourself from the abusive boss and quitting your job, it is easier said than done. But for the sake of your overall wellbeing, don’t ruin your health over the bad boss you’ve given way too many chances already.
