On Mental Health Day, People Share The Worst Ways In Which Others Downplayed Their Symptoms

Mental Health, 2 words and 12 letters that our society has been running away from for centuries. As a result of this, we were never told to confront our inner demons but to always ignore them. 

On World Mental Health Day, we spoke to a few people who opened up about the worst, most insensitive comments they’ve put up with. The ones that made them feel uncomfortable and ‘less accepted’ at the moment and still disturbs them. 

We hope the next time you decide to make fun of someone with mental health issues, you at least think twice.
