A New Study Claims That Skipping Breakfast Promotes Weight Loss. *Snoozes Alarm*

Remember those numerous YouTube ‘dieticians’ that claimed that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? And that if you were seeking to shed those extra pounds, you should have your breakfast at all costs?

Well, it turns out that it all might be pish-posh as scientists now claim that breakfast is not the most important meal of the day.

About Tanzania

A peer-reviewed medical journal, BMJ, recently published a study composed of 13 controlled trials which were carried out by researchers at the Monash University in Australia.

They found that ensuring that you have your breakfast every single day might not be a good strategy for weight loss.

Everyday Health

In fact, the study said that eating breakfast could actually result in adults consuming more calories throughout the day.

On top of that, BMJ found no metabolic differences between those that consumed breakfast daily and those that didn’t.

Active Times

According to a nutrition researcher, Marion Nestle, many studies demonstrating that breakfast eaters are healthier and manage weight better than non-breakfast eaters were allegedly sponsored by American breakfast cereal companies.

It actually makes sense since their entire business depends on people eating their product for their breakfast.

Try citing this study as a reason for skipping breakfast in front of your mother. But be ready to receive the infamous flying chappal in return.
