Catch A Glimpse Of Greatness In Nelson Mandela’s First Ever Interview

One of the world’s most iconic figures who fought tirelessly against oppression and injustice breathed his last today. Nelson Mandela was 95.

Here is Nelson Mandela’s first ever interview to ITN reporter Brain Widlake. While giving the interview at the time, Mandela was in hiding and was wanted for allegations of sabotage by the South African apartheid government.

In the interview, he talks about how “there’s room for all races in South Africa” and how even “people without an education deserve a vote”. Mandela was 42 years at the time, yet one can already see glimpses of greatness in his words and thoughts.

Rest in peace Madiba.
