Bajrangi Bhaijaan , being the latest blockbuster hit featuring Salman Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, stole show for many. But the Eid release was not limited to India. Pakistan went crazy over the film and thus, it should come as no surprise to find Chand Nawab, the real Pakistani journalist, who Nawazuddin plays in the film, boasting with pride.

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times , Chand, from Karachi said this, ” I saw the film on the first day it was released in Pakistan. And I was very happy with the way Nawazuddin Siddiqui portrayed me in Bajrangi Bhaijaan.”

This is the original video that went viral in 2008:

Clearly, the viral video wasn’t the end for him. The film’s huge success got this Karachi-based Indus News reporter all the name and fame. He further thanked the director of the film, Kabir Khan, Salman Khan and Nawazuddin, for the way the film portrayed him and Pakistan.

“I was on a TV show with Kabir Khan and he suggested I should come to Mumbai and work in films,” he added. His only wished for his wife to see the film with him, but she passed away last year.

Here’s the clip from the movie featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui:

Nawab is now feeling obliged and popular, with his friends and colleagues calling him to discuss the character of the film. He is also getting Pakistani television commercial offers.

Who would’ve thought that a film made in India could change the life of someone sitting in Pakistan?
