Before We Start The Alternate Day Driving Rule, Here’re 10 Things I’d Like To Ask The Govt

That Delhi is choking, is no news. We see pollution levels rising everyday. Thus, Delhi police has now come up with a novel idea to tackle the pollution problem. According to a report by NDTV , starting from January 1, 2016, even and odd numbered vehicles will only be allowed on alternate days.

BTW, this decision was taken in a meeting presided by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Poor guy, because of the pollution, he’s the one suffering the most.

Nice move! God knows we need to cut down on our pollution levels before Delhi becomes a gas chamber. But don’t you think that allowing even and odd numbered vehicles to ply only on alternate days lead to some unwanted chaos and confusion?

Hence, on behalf of everybody, here are 10 questions I’d like to ask the Delhi police. Check ’em out.

1. What if I have two vehicles and both of them have odd numbers?

Am I supposed to travel like this?

Daiji

2. What happens if I’m travelling at 11:59 pm?

3. What happens on the night of 31st December?

Do all the odd numbered cars go home? Or the even numbered? #FeelingConfused!

4. What happens if I’m entering Delhi at 12:00 a.m. in my car?

Will I be turned back if it’s an even number day and I have an odd numbered plate?

5. What if I’ve applied for a license plate?

6. What if I have an emergency?

I have an odd numbered car. It’s an even numbered day. My wife is in labour. What do I do?

7. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has an odd numbered plate. Does he ride the metro on alternate days like us?

8. What if people start carrying multiple number plates?

9. Won’t public modes of transport become even more crowded now?

10. Does this rule apply to motorcycles as well?

Delhi police, are you listening?
