This Photo Shows How Flipkart Is Apparently Fooling Buyers With ‘Discounts’

Websites like Flipkart have changed the face of online shopping in India. The discount offers are too tempting to give them a miss. However, are they for real?

A picture of a sandal has been doing the rounds on the Internet. The sandal’s original price is listed as Rs. 799 and the e-commerce website offers a 50% discount, selling it for Rs. 399. Jumping on seeing the price, you and I probably would have got them, but there’s a catch. If you zoom in, the MRP on the sandal clearly shows that it is actually for Rs 399 .

Here, have a look:

The picture was first posted on Flipkart’s Facebook page by one Mani Sankar Sen:

An apology won’t set things right, Flipkart. The customers ain’t foolish.
