Durga Pujo is a time for coming together, and basking in the grandeur of a celebration of epic proportions. It is a time when Bangalees from all across the world yearn to go back to the warmth of Maa Durga’s reassuring presence. Pujo is about homecoming. Period.

Director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury has come up with a short film which is a beautiful ode to nostalgia. It is a heart-tugging portrayal of the relationship shared between three generations of women, and the thread of kinship that is brought to life with perfect cinematography. Starring Monali Thakur who looks absolutely stunning in her Probashi Bangalee avatar, Anupam Roy’s music perfectly complements the mood of the short film.

This video hits home the realization that Pujo is more than anything else, a celebration of familial ties and an emotional extravaganza that brings people closer to each other. Closer to a feeling of home.
