Sunny Leone Slams ‘Intolerant India’ Viewpoint, Says She’s Still Here Because India’s Tolerant

Anwesha Madhukalya

The debate on intolerance/tolerance has spread like wildfire. Everyone who has an opinion, from the common man to superstars, have made it known. If you are a Shah Rukh Khan, then your take on intolerance have garnered mixed reactions but if you are an Aamir Khan, then, well, tough luck.

In all of this, the silver-est of the linings that can be found is that people have come out and have freely expressed what they feel about the situation.

The latest person to join the bandwagon is Sunny Leone.

The Indian Express

As reported by DNA , Leone stated, “I think the word (intolerance) is interesting to be used. As far as myself goes, I love India and it is a great place to be. Had it not been safe, I wouldn’t have been here.”

India Today

And referring to Aamir Khan’s statement she said that sometimes people’s words get twisted and used in the wrong way to benefit traffic to their website.

“That happens with me on a daily basis (laughs). So that’s all I have to say about it.”

We wish more people shared her sentiment and felt safe in the country. It will probably take time but we will get there. Till then we are glad that she does!
