These Indian Men Have Some Important Advice On How Not To Be A Sexist Jerk

Eve-teasing and street harassment is so rampant in India, that it is almost a normalized everyday phenomenon that we just have to suck up and deal with.

The folks at Buzzfeed India and PRI The World ’s Across Women’s Lives have come up with a video where Indian men break down sexism and everyday street harassment of women in India, as part of their #HerRights series.

The video captures guys belt out some very pertinent and useful advice to Indian men who are consistent perpetrators of harassment of women.

Featuring comedians Abish Mathew and Daniel Fernandes, producer Sumedh Natu, advertising executive Vanshdeep Madan, and video host Clince Varghese, the video talks about the stereotypes that Indian society is plagued with and how Bollywood has a large role to play in perpetuating this ‘misogynistic regressive patriarchal mindset’.
