As reported by Daily Mail , Abu-Nabil Al-Anbari, an ISIS commander who was sent to set up an Islamic State branch in Libya, was reportedly caught by a rival Islamist group while fighting for the strategically important Derna. According to witnesses, he was then marched through the streets, taunted, beaten and finally executed in front of several onlookers.
The scene is reminiscent of a Game of Thrones episode, in which Cersei Lannister is led through the town naked and in chains to make up for her sins. Regardless of his actions, is this kind of mob justice really the way forward?
