Death snatches our loves ones from us, but it cannot take away their memories from our hearts. So when Ana Thompson, 36, decided to get married to her long-time boyfriend, her heart was not ready to leave her deceased son Lake out of the family photograph. So, she asked her photographer friend Brady Angel to include her 8-year-old son in the pictures.
“I was sad because he wasn’t going to be in the pictures and it’s like you feel guilty taking photos without him,” said Ana.
“I needed this picture more than anyone could ever know. THIS is my family.”
Lake was a normal school-going child until he was diagnosed with cancer. Ana wanted Lake to be present at her wedding, but he died of Leukaemia in May, a few months before the October wedding.
