In a bizarre event recently, the police lived up to their accountability standards when a group of saffron activists were seen playing the self-proclaimed defenders of Hindu religion. The event that reportedly occurred in Bhopal saw men in uniform take charge and thwart miscreants from invoking communal tension in the region.
The group that was cheering for Bajranj Dal and appeared to be a part of the same were illegally checking ID cards of the people entering a religious function. As stated by their leader, they were trying to make sure that no Muslim enters the place.
When police sniffed the lot trying to add communal overtones to an otherwise peaceful religious function, they questioned and dispersed them. The video below gives an idea of what it takes to invoke communal tension in our country.
