Bollywood’s been getting “inspired” by international songs since forever now. But when was the last time you heard a song from the west inspired by an Indian number. Well, that moment has finally arrived. A.R.Rahman’s 90s mega hit ‘Urvasi’ has now been recreated as an R & B number by will.i.am. The song is called ‘It’s my Birthday” and also features R & B artist Cody Wise. “Excited to creatively partner with will.i.am to recreate an early popular track of mine in a new flavour,” AR Rahman said on the Birthday song. Anyway, it’s quite cool to hear a completely revamped version of one of our all time groovy hits.
