Politician Sharad Yadav Makes Unforgiving Sexist Remarks About ‘Dusky Women From The South’

Indian politicians are known for spreading “words of wisdom” every now and then. This time it is Bihar politician Sharad Yadav who has continued the tradition of making bizarre and senseless statements.

During a Rajya Sabha session on Thursday, a Janata Dal United (JDU) member, Yadav claimed that he was talking about India’s obsession with fair skinned woman when he made a rather sexist remark on South Indian woman. He said, “In the entire country there are more saanvle (dark-skinned) men. The women of south are beautiful, their bodies…their skin …We don’t see it here. They know dance.”

Needless to say, his remark created an uproar in the Parliament and on social media.
