Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Ross, Monica and Phoebe was all we wanted our friend circle to be like. F.R.I.E.N.D.S was more than a sitcom to us. It was the first taste of popular culture most of us got, and we loved it. But sometimes, there are these little glitches to remind us that our favourite sitcom characters are only but a NBC producers figment of imagination.
That’s exactly what happened after 12 years of F.R.I.E.N.D.S being officially aired. A F.R.I.E.N.D.S super fan Jordan D’Amico spotted a huge continuity error during a Netflix inspired re-watch and it blew our mind.
In season 9 episode 15, “The one with the mugging,” a woman who is definitely not Jennifer Aniston appears on screen as Rachel Green.
In an early scene of the episode, when Joey and Rachel meet in Monica’s kitchen to discuss Joey’s latest role, we see a pretty great lookalike of our lovely F.R.I.E.N.D.S star.
During a back-and-forth, the camera turns for a brief moment to capture Joey, and who do we see? Yes, that’s Aniston’s body double right there!
