Peeing in shady corners, spitting with abandon and littering without guilt seems to be the norm in public spaces in India. In a startling display of hypocrisy, we first litter left right and centre and then blame everyone else under the sun for how filthy a country we live in.
The thoughtful folks at Awkwardness Unlimited proved this with a social experiment in which they literally threw trash at people’s feet and shamed people who were peeing in public. The reactions you’ll see will make you wonder whether we’ve become so used to filth that we just don’t care anymore.
