In 2008, Franz Gastler co-founded Yuwa , an organization that uses girls’ football to combat child marriage, illiteracy and human trafficking in the rural regions of Jharkand. Yuwa’s efforts have changed the lives and fortunes of hundreds of girls who faced a very bleak future.

Sitting in our rooms our offices, we won’t really empathize with the problems these girls have to face every day. But we will be able to empathize with the tremendous achievement and happiness these girls have snatched from the jaws of darkness and misery.
