India is a land of magnificent diversity. Even amidst some incidents of discord, coming together of various religions is a reminder that communal harmony is not a forgotten concept in our country.
An inspiring example of the same was seen in Ludhiana, Punjab, when a langar ( free kitchen) was organized inside the historical Jama Masjid mosque. A gesture of solidarity, the event saw people belonging to various faiths, including Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and Hindus, serving and eating together.
