It’s been two decades since F.R.I.E.N.D.S first hit the screens, but we all agree that it’s one of those guilty pleasures that never gets old! We have watched it countless times and will keep doing so sincerely! We also absolutely love the title track by The Rembrandts, that reminds us about how we just can’t do without our besties!

While binge watching the show, the six dots between the letters of the word F.R.I.E.N.D.S has caught our attention every time but most of us have no clue as to what they’re doing there.

Many assume that the dots represent each one of the F.R.I.E.N.D.S characters, but this theory doesn’t quite work out well.

We also thought it could be an abbreviation for something. There are discussions threads online, trying to find out the mystery behind the placement of these dots.

But no one could really come up with a convincing answer!

As it turns out… the answer has always been there before our eyes, only we never noticed.

Ashris Choudhary posted his theory on Quora.

If you think about it, the six coloured dots in F.R.I.E.N.D.S have the same colours as the six umbrellas that the characters carry in the title song. This was probably to make the logo look interesting and in consonance with the design.
