These Three Short Films Show Just How Far India’s From Achieving Gender Equality

In India, patriarchy has largely shoved women to secondary positions whether it is the home or workplace. 

To highlight just how far the country is from gender equality, NGO ActionAid has launched three films as a part of its new campaign, all of them which put forward the question of unpaid work and its impact on women and girls.

The basic aim of the films is to show the problems faced by women and children, which are often neglected or ignored, and to build awareness of these problems. Hopefully this will lead to a change in perceptions.
