Remember when Kulsum, the 12-year-old girl from J&K wrote a letter to her all-time favourite J.K. Rowling? Little did she know that she would get a response from the writer.

Rowling not only read the note, but also replied to the tweet asking for the child’s details so that she could send her a gift.

But this was not the end. Two months later, Kulsum and her classmates have received surprise gifts from none other than J.K. Rowling herself.

The gifts included a set of the seven-part Harry Potter series and other goodies such as stationery inspired by characters of the book.

And here’s the happy girl opening her box of gifts.

In this video, Kulsum reads the note by Rowling which says

I have sent some things. I hope you like them. I am also impressed by your English. It would be an honour to meet you one day. With Love.

The excitement of the students, in fact, led teachers to cancel a practice exam scheduled for the day.

We wish the little girl soon gets a chance to meet her inspiration, J.K. Rowling.
