Selling Their Homes To Go Live In Vans & Travel The World Is The New Vagabond Dream Trend

Shruti Pillai

We all dream of travelling the world. And among the many things that keep us from making that dream come true is the proper, grown-up houses we live in. Now, while we’ve got nothing against grown-up lifestyles, there are some among us whom they’re just not right for. And there’s a new trend that’s given them an exciting new alternative to consider.

According to Distractify, a trending hashtag #VanLife is proof that couples and even families around the world are leaving behind home ownership to embrace a life of travel and spontaneity – in a van

People around the world are casting aside their office life and conventional living arrangements to hit the road and really live the vagabond life.

Various Instagram accounts have people sharing their van journeys. And from what we’ve seen so far, it seems like a delightful and refreshing reinvigoration of boring ol’ life.

Many have been seen taking on this grand adventure with a pet, with a significant other, and even with their whole families. ‘Cause there’s no reason the kids have to miss out on the adventure of a lifetime.

The idea of documenting their journeys on Instagram and other social media is catching on. As it turns out, the low cost of living in a van (as opposed to in a house) can be covered from the revenue a decent social media following could easily generate. So why the heck not!

The people living the #VanLife are true heroes to many of us. Cheers to them and cheers to not compromising one bit when it comes to living our dreams!
