23-year-old Vanessa is doing her bit to make the world a happier place, one rock at a time. If you come across a vividly painted rock with a sunny message on it, nestled in a tree in Mumbai, you’ll know it’s her attempt to brighten someone’s day.
In our stressful, daily prosaic lives we often lose sight of what really matters in life. These colourful rocks with messages would make a passerby perhaps stop and glance at it and even bring a smile to their faces.
An avid traveler and fond of creating art, Vanessa Kristin Fernandez started this pet project about a month ago.
Most of us are gearing up to go change the world but end up with jobs and get caught up in things, leaving little time to really do much. Vanessa was stuck in the same rut.
She wanted to be a part of various missions but could not due to lack of time. That’s when she thought of this way to make a change.
“I paint universal messages on the rocks, things we need to be reminded of,”
says Vanessa.
And it’s helping her too in various ways. It’s almost therapeutic for her.
“It feels great and they are a lot of fun to make. I feel like I’m healing myself when I think of messages to write.”
