Almost seven decades ago, when the tricolor was hoisted on the eve of August 15th, the Indian people stood tall and proud, finally free from the yoke of their British oppressors.
But have we done our founding fathers proud? I mean, think about it! There’s a lot of strife in our country and our society seems divided. In the India of today, it’s easy to create stereotypes and slot people into this group or that. It’s almost as if we are living by the motto “If you’re not with us, you’re against us.” But our generation, for one, isn’t going to give in. We will change the status quo!
And this amazing video by United Colors of Benetton is definitely a step in the right direction. It takes prejudice, stereotyping and hate, puts them into a rocket and blasts them into outer space. Check it out!
