The breezy, youth-oriented lyrics struck a chord with millions of millennials and the catchy rhythm resulted in a No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Dance Mix Show Airplay. The acclaimed song won numerous awards for its success and set new records in sales.
Owing to its immense popularity, covers were to obviously follow. After a few famous renditions, we now stumbled across this super desi and brilliant take on the hit song. This young man, Jigar Rajpopat, is killing it with his dhol, giving us a foot-thumping fusion of traditional and western. I can definitely imagine this playing at a shaadi baraat sometime soon.
