Rufus Wainwright And 1500+ Singers Cover Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ And It’s Glorious!

Leonard Cohen’s classic song ‘Hallelujah’ has been covered by many artists all over the world. If it’s not the best song in the world, it’s certainly one of the most emotional ones. No wonder so many artists like the late Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright have come up with their own renditions of the song.

But that wasn’t the end of it. Last month, Rufus Wainwright collaborated with Choir! Choir! Choir! and teamed up with more than 1500+ singers, who got together at Toronto’s Luminato Festival to perform a cover of this classic tune.

Epic would be an understatement.

In case you want to sing along, here are the lyrics –

Now I’ve heard there was a secret chord
Hallelujah
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
You say I took the name in vain
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
I did my best, it wasn’t much
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

The feels. Oh, the feels.
