1 Dead, 2 Others Injured After A Suspected Firecracker Explosion Takes Place In Delhi

One person was killed and two others were injured in an explosion in North Delhi’s Naya Bazar area on Tuesday. A senior police officer said the cause of the explosion was yet to be ascertained. Forensic teams and officers from the Special Cell are on the spot and collecting samples. 

According to an ANI report, the police are assuming it to be a firecracker explosion.

At around 10:45 am,the police and fire departments were alerted about the blast. Police has not ruled out the possibility of a terror attack. Delhi Police personnel have been maintaining a tight vigil in view of the festive season.
