In a shocking incident 18 flats were robbed in a single day in Gaur City Extension’s 1st avenue society in Greater Noida (West). The robbery was executed in broad daylight at the ‘I’ and ‘J’ blocks of the society in the absence of flat owners and tenants, reports ABP.
The report also says that the society has many unoccupied flats which made it easy for the burglars to break open locks and flee with jewellery and cash.
Smaller valued items were reportedly left untouched. Residents of the society held a protest against the local police and state administration over this incident.
