20-Year-Old Girl Burnt Alive In Jodhpur For Protesting Against Chopping Of Trees

A 20-year-old girl was burnt alive on Sunday in Jodhpur after she protested about the cutting of trees at Pipda in Jodhpur.

According to ANI, Lalita was protesting against the chopping of some trees planted in her farm. 

After a heated argument with the villagers, the villagers poured petrol on her and set her on fire, reports India Today.

It is also reported that the village sarpanch Ranveer Singh was also involved in the incident.

It isn’t clear why the villagers wanted to cut the trees planted in the victim’s farm.  

While she was rushed to the hospital after the incident, she succumbed to her injuries. The police are yet to arrest the accused.
