The victim, a student at Amity University, was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead by doctors, police said.

“A case has been registered by the victim’s uncle Rishi Gupta against Kamal Chauhan at Majhola Police Station,” Circle Officer (Civil Lines) Yashveer Singh said, adding the complainant alleged that despite opposition the group kept on firing.

The accused, who is a manager at the groom’s father’s gas agency, is absconding with the revolver used in the incident. The police is trying to trace his whereabouts, he said.
