26/11 Then And Now: Five Photos That Show How Mumbai Fought Back

Exactly seven years back, ten terrorists attacked locations across Mumbai killing over 160 people and injuring many. It took four days for security forces to kill all the terrorists, barring Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, who was captured alive.

But the city bore the scars for years. Landmarks like Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus had been bloodied, Hotel Taj Palace disfigured beyond recognition and Chabad House reduced to a shell. But over the years every one of these landmarks have been restored and while some of them still bear the marks, they are hardly the most prominent signs.

As the attacks in Paris on November 13 this year reminded people of the horrific scenes from Mumbai, here’s how the landmarks affected by the attacks have come back to life.
