4 army personnel including a major were killed in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. According to the Times of India, Indian security forces also killed 2 terrorists during the firefight.
The martyrs were identified as Major DS Dondial, Head Constable Save Ram, Sepoy Ajay Kumar and Sepoy Hari Singh.
The slain terrorists are yet to be identified. But according to reports, a top Jaish-e-Mohammed commander, linked to the Pulwama terror attack of the 14th of February is also trapped in the ongoing encounter.
The gunfight started early on Monday morning when terrorists started shooting at the security forces in the Pinglan area of Pulwama. This shootout comes just days after a terrorist attack had claimed the lives of 40 CRPF jawans in the same region.
