6-Year-Old Girl Found Hanging Inside Her Home In Madhya Pradesh Village

A six-year-old girl was found hanging in her house in Barela village near here, the police said today. The deceased has been identified as Afia Khan. 

The incident occurred last afternoon when her parents were away while her four siblings were playing outside, Koh-e-Fiza police station in-charge Anil Vajpayee said.

Afia, a student of class I, was spotted hanging from ceiling with a stole in a room by her siblings after they returned home, who in turn informed their parents. The officer said the girl was taken to hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. 

The police officer said they are investigating from all angles as the girl was too young to hang herself. 

“We are investigating whether she hanged by someone else or otherwise,” he said, adding a case has been registered. Police are awaiting postmortem report for further investigations.
