Sending a tough message to Pakistan army’s barbaric act of mutilating Indian jawans’ bodies, the Indian army killed Pakistani soldiers and destroyed two of its bunkers in Kirpan and Pimple posts in Jammu, reports IndiaToday

The counter-attack comes hours after Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT)  killed and mutilated the body parts of Indian soldiers.

Calling it a inhumane act, finance minister Arun Jaitley had said that India will respond appropriately to the gruesome act.

He had said,

“Such acts are unheard of even during war…The sacrifice of these soldiers will not go in vain… the army will respond appropriately.”

The Army chief General Bipin Rawat had also promised to avenge the killings after he reached Srinagar on Monday evening.

The Indian Army had even released a statement stating it will appropriately respond to the “despicable act” by Pakistani Army.

Last year, India had carried out surgical strikes on terror launchpads across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir in a response to the Uri attack that had killed 18 soldiers.
