8 School Kids Died In Karnataka After Their Van Rammed Into A Bus

In a horrific accident, eight schoolchildren died in Karnataka after an Omni van carrying 16 children to school rammed into a private bus. 

Twelve others were injured in the collision, and they were rushed immediately to Kasturba Hospital in Manipal.

The accident took place at Kundapur area of Udupi, Karnataka, about 400 km away from Bengaluru. The Omni was carrying the children to Don Bosco School at 8 am in the morning when the fatal collision occurred.  

Clarisha, Selista, Ananya, Roysten, Alvita, Delvin, Nikita and Ansita are the eight children who died in the accident, according to police reports. 

The driver of the Omni, who survived, is being treated at the trauma centre.
