A Class 6 Student In Ranchi Has Hanged Himself Over Losing His Holiday Homework List

In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old boy has committed suicide for losing his holiday homework list in Ranchi.

The incident reportedly took place on Sunday when Om Kumar was found hanging in his bedroom by his parents. He was a student of class 6 at a local DAV school, says this report by Indian Express.

“The boy’s parents said he (Kumar) was upset after misplacing the summer holiday homework list given by the school on Saturday night,” said Officer in-charge of Argora police station Ratibhan Singh to TOI.

According to the uncle of the victim, Anuj Kumar, he was very upset on Saturday night. Even after his father assured him that another list would be provided by the school, he did not eat dinner. Nobody expected him to commit suicide.

The body has been sent for autopsy. However, the report is yet to come.
