A 19-Year-Old Teacher Was Abducted & Gangraped Near Delhi-Lucknow Highway In UP

In a horrific reminder of the Bulandshahr gangrape case, a 19-year-old was abducted and gangraped along a state highway linking Delhi-Lucknow National Highway 24. The incident happened on Tuesday, when the survivor was abducted in broad daylight when she was on her way to school by three men and was taken to a nearby sugarcane field near Khadua road under CB Ganj police station.

According to police sources, the perpetrators videographed the heinous act and threatened to post it on social media if she told anyone about it. The later dumped her in the field after committing the crime.

On getting information of the crime, senior police officials led by the IG, DIG, SSP, City SP and SP (Crime) rushed to the spot and a case was lodged against three accused who are absconding. In an immediate damage control exercise, Inspector of CB Ganj police station Rajesh Singh was suspended by IG (Bareily zone) Vijay Singh Meena, police said.

“Based on the complaint, an FIR has been filed against three unidentified men. The woman was sent for a medical examination. The matter is being investigated,” Senior Superintendent of Police, R K Bharadwaj told The Times of India
