A Government Vehicle Turned Up As An Uber Cab. Here’s What Happened Next

When Mona Ambegaonkar, called for an Uber cab in Ahmedabad, a car belonging to the government of Gujarat came to pick her up turned up. On asking the driver about how he manages to run a vehicle that belongs to the government instead of an explanation he made the following response.

Government vehicles are bought with the taxpayers’ money and are supposed to be used for official purposes only, not to ferry citizens and earn some extra money on the sly.

Uber did respond to Mona’s tweet:

Apparently, this was not the first time. According to another tweet which came to Mona this happens in Bangalore a lot. Many questions arose on Twitter regarding the services given by Uber.

ScoopWhoop tried to contact the Regional Transport Office of Ahmedabad for further comments on the matter. However, they haven’t returned the call.
